Past Master of the Fruiterers’ Company and one of the original Proprietors of the London Stock Exchange. In 1816,Jeremiah Lear suffered a sudden financial collapse and served a short prison sentence for fraud and debt. Past Master, Jeremiah Lear was the father of Edward Lear the "Nonsense Poet"
