"17th July 1770. The last Master, Mr. James Gould, having died since his election, the Court is called to elect another Master in the room of the late James Gould, deceased. This day came on an election when Mr. Joseph Savage and Mr. Philip Trantum were put in nomination, and Mr. Philip Trantum was elected."
