City of London Admission Papers 1718
Upon the humble petition of John Wibon and the report of Sir George Merttins and Sir Francis Forbes, Knights and aware that the petitioner was bound apprentice to his father Henry Wibon Citizen and Fruiterer for seven Years by indenture dated the twenty fifth of January 1711.
That by his father’s consent he served the whole time with Richard Barker Citizen and Woolman but was never turned over to him according to the custom.
It is ordered that the said John Wibon be admitted to this City by redemption in the said Company of Fruiterers paying unto Mr Chamberlain for the Cities use the sum of forty-six shillings and eight pence.
