Director, Rowett, Leakey and Co., Ltd., and Haig’s Cooperage, Ltd. Mr Leakey was born at Hampstead in 1882, and was educated in France and at Ramsgate. His first experience of commerce was obtained in the city offices of the Anglo-Egyptian Bank, Ltd. Mr Leakey is a Freeman of the City of London and of the Worshipful Company of Fruiterers. He is a man of many hobbies, and excels as a conjuror, having many times appeared before members of the Royal Family and at Messrs Maskelyne’s Theatre of Mystery, St George's Hall, W. Mr Leakey’s services are much in demand for charitable objects. He writes under the nom de theatre of “Alan Adair," and is the founder of the “Adair wounded Fund” which provides weekly entertainment for our wounded soldiers still in hospital.
